PHOENIX, ARIZONA - The Awareness Corporation, lead by company founder and CEO Mark Tahiliani, continues its support of World Vision programs around the world. The latest contribution from Tahiliani and Awareness is to the World Vision Foundation of Thailand, where since 1997, the company has sponsored a child named Gittichai. Gittichai was in preschool when Awareness began sponsoring him. Since then, he has made it all the way through the fourth grade level and is doing well in school. He is a friendly boy with a lively personality who helps out at home with the cleaning duties and also helps his family by running errands. Gittichai's other hobbies include playing soccer, going to the beach, spending time at the local marketplace, and visiting the animals at a nearby zoo. Regular progress reports indicate that Gittichai is growing and staying healthy. In addition to helping Gittichai, the donations also help support his family and the community where he lives. According to World Vision Foundation of Thailand National Director Chusak Wuthiwaropas, the donations help children attend school, eat lunch, and undergo regular health exams. The communities also benefit from the contributions because the funds go to support programs such as developmental programs for work training and income generation, as well as AIDS prevention programs. "Sponsored children are receiving medical care which includes nutrition and full immunizations; educational assistance with school fees and uniforms; quality of life activities; and community development programs," Wuthiwaropas stated. "It is heartbreaking to know the conditions that some people face
in life, especially children," Tahiliani said. "We feel that
all people need to have some hope in their lives, and programs like the
World Vision Foundation of Thailand help deliver that hope to those less
fortunate. This is exactly why we support them with our sponsorship and
donations." |
